The Tetbury in Bloom shop window display competition challenges our traders to excel themselves and produce something distinctive and fun - to raise a smile and spark interest for residents and visitors alike.
Tetbury has long been proud of its range of independent, sometimes quirky, and passionately individual shops.
Nowadays it is rare to walk down a high street and not be able to glance at the names above every door and know almost exactly what you will find if you venture in. Chains, chains, chains.
Somehow, Tetbury has avoided this fate.
Maybe the town is too small to attract “big business”, and maybe it is just big enough for the independent, enthusiastic and knowledgeable shopkeepers to survive.
Or maybe we’re just lucky to have a great bunch of people trading in our town.
In 2014, our truly creative people again showed their skill, wit and imagination and produced some brilliant displays.
And for those who are desperate to know the results of the competition, the awards for 2014 were as follows:
Scentiments - Gold & Overall winner
Artique - Gold
Boho - Gold
Highgrove - Gold
Skeins - Gold
Tetbury Hardware - Gold
Sassy & Boo - Silver Gilt
Cherry Tree - Silver
Fashion Dispensary - Silver
Leopard Press - Silver
Well done to everyone who took part - you help Tetbury to look good and feel good.
Judging day was really bright and sunny this year, which made it challenging to capture the shop windows without reflections of Tetbury in the sunshine, but we hope the images below raise a smile.
